Josh Warzecha serves as the Governing Board's Data Scientist, providing reporting, analytic, and data visualization services for the Board's programmatic and operational data needs. Prior to joining the Governing Board in 2024, Mr. Warzecha worked in the U.S. Department of Education's Enterprise Data Analytics and Risk Management Division (EDARM), where his skills in data analysis and application development helped power process improvements in all areas of the Department’s operations. During this time, he also served on a temporary assignment with the Customer Analytics Group within Federal Student Aid (FSA), where he managed FSA’s customer feedback programs and conducted quantitative and qualitative analyses of major products such as the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) and Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program, with an emphasis on employing Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques. Mr. Warzecha joined the Department of Education in 2020 following his evacuation from service with the U.S. Peace Corps in Morocco (due to the COVID-19 pandemic), and previously worked as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in northern Israel.
